Greymouth

This is the small west coast town that TJ and pals set up as a base for some adventures along the West Coast.

So, here is where they hung out for half a day or so before heading to the next stop. A quiet place, says TJ.

Earlier in the day they visited the Karamea Honeycomb caverns. I used some other guy's website that has the best pictures of these I could find.

David was right - Greymouth is a quiet place, but it's a beautiful journey getting there via TranzScenic's TranzAlpine rail journey, and it has a great movie theatre. We went to see Elektra, it was a choice between Elektra, Elektra, and oh yeah, Elektra. Actually, it was pretty good. Also, we enjoyed popcorn (popped fresh that morning) and lollies (you know, candy).
